On Wednesday, August 15, 2007, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the New Brunswick Oratory welcomed Br. Robert Peck, C.O. into the novitiate. He received the habit at the monthly Holy Hour on Sunday, August 19. A native of Ogdensburg, NJ, Br. Bob taught U.S. history at Pope John XXIII High School in Sparta, NJ for four years following his graduation from Rutgers University, where he was an active member of the Catholic Students Association. As a novice, Br. Bob will spend the coming year participating in the life of the Oratory, deepening his spiritual life through prayer and study, and assisting with the community’s apostolic works. Following this year of formation, Br. Bob anticipates beginning his studies for the priesthood at Immaculate Conception Seminary, South Orange, NJ.
