2007-08 Oratory Holy Hour Series Lineup Announced
The New Brunswick Oratory has announced the schedule of speakers for this year’s Holy Hour Series, “In Pursuit of Holiness: Lessons from the Saints. The 6-talk series will focus on living the cardinal and theological virtues, drawing examples from the lives of the saints. The series kicks off Sunday, October 21, when Rev. Antonio Bico of Immaculate Conception Seminary speaks on the virtue of fortitude. For more information, see the complete schedule.

New issue of Nuova News available
Nuova News, the annual publication celebrating milestones in the life of the New Brunswick Oratory and featuring the writing, photography, and artwork of our community, achieves a milestone of its own with the publication of its fifth anniversary edition. The twelve-page issue features reflections on the theme of “doing the father’s business” and includes the homily from Fr. Tom Odorizzi’s installation as pastor of St. Peter’s Parish as well as images of the face of Christ painted by Fr. Kevin Kelly. Nuova News is available free at Oratory events or by request, while supplies last. New Brunswick Oratory announces 2007-08 Schedule
The New Brunswick Oratory is pleased to announce our 2007-08 calendar of events. As we look forward to another year, we do so in the realization that in September 2008, we will mark the tenth anniversary of our foundation as a Congregation of the Oratory by the Servant of God Pope John Paul II. As always, everyone is welcome at our Oratorian gatherings. Formal membership in the Oratory is not required. Feel free to contact us for more information about our events and activities.

New Oratory founded in New York
On Wednesday, August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, members of the New Brunswick and Brooklyn Oratories joined with His Eminence the Most Rev. Edward Cardinal Egan, Archbishop of New York, His Excellency the Most Rev. Alojz Tkac, Archbishop of Kosice, Slovakia, and the Very Rev. Fr. Edoardo A. Cerrato, C.O., Procurator General of the Confederation of the Oratory, in celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving commemorating the canonical foundation of the New York Congregation of the Oratory by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI on the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul (June 29). Archbishop Tkac introduced the four members of the Congregation, all of whom are natives of and began their priesthoods in the Archdiocese of Kosice, and asked the congregation to “receive them with love.” Fr. Cerrato formally presented the Apostolic Rescript and conveyed the apostolic blessing bestowed upon the occasion by the Holy Father.
