Canonical Visitation Scheduled
The Delegate of the Apostolic See, the Very Rev. Felix Selden, C.O. of the Vienna Oratory, will make the canonical visitation of the New Brunswick Oratory from January 17-21, 2009. According to the Constitutions of the Oratory, each Oratorian house must be visited by the Holy Father’s representative once every five years. The visitation is an opportunity to assess the present state of the community and to identify areas for improvement in our continuing effort to live the Oratorian life faithfully. Fr. Selden will be accompanied on his visit by Very Rev. Ignatius Harrison, C.O., Provost of the London Oratory, who will serve as Fr. Selden’s secretary.
Members of the Secular Oratory will have an opportunity to meet Frs. Selden and Harrison during a special reception at the Oratorian residence after the January Holy Hour, beginning at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 18.
